After 4 years of volunteering with a local pet agency, I had to stop. A new coordinater was hired, and she turned into an evangelist of homeopathic and holistic methods she learned from reading a book. I was told to ignore veternary instructions with regards to medicines and diet. Also, after 2 years of being an adoption counselor, I was told that my adoptions has to be cleared so this new "lady" could make sure she could dictate diet and supplements for the new adoptors. This lady has no education, training or experience with shelters or vets. Yet I was expected to blindly follow her instructions of denying cats their medications or recommended diets. The cats were being starved and I couldn't take it any more.
So I will be spending more time trying to get some traffic to my websites.

I am sorry that the animals have lost you. It sounds like you were an advocate for the animals. I foster for a no-kill shelter, and when I find another person who cares for animals it is heartening. Have you thought of working with a shelter? I know it is not a "real" job, but you would still be helping.
